Atruvia relies on new stitching module from Kern
Atruvia AG has recently launched a truly unique selling point at its Karlsruhe site: A newly developed Kern stitching module that can stitch up to 80 sheets is being used there for the first time on the German market. The system was developed and designed at the headquarters of the renowned Swiss family business. ‘After the test phase in June, the module has been in full operation for a few weeks now and we are very satisfied,’ says Edwin Klemm, Tribe Lead Print Centre at Atruvia AG.
The stitching module is integrated into a Kern 1600 multi-format inserting system, which has been in operation at Atruvia AG since April. Those responsible at Atruvia have been relying on Kern inserting systems for over 30 years. The IT service provider for the German Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken currently has several high-speed Kern 3600 and Kern 1600 machines in operation at its Karlsruhe, Münster and Berlin sites.
With the stitching module, the company is expanding its portfolio: ‘With this new offer of group stitching in the document, we are fulfilling a much-cherished wish of one of our customers and opening the door to new customer groups,’ says Klemm, who emphasises: ‘It is really remarkable how smoothly the project went and how quickly the new system was integrated into the workflow.’
